English song - Moon river (The Flash version)

Howdy! it's about time for our weekly blogpost, I'm going to share a song that interested me, the first time I heard this song is in the TV series called The Flash, A superhero story usually won't get very much of my attention, but the movie effect in the show indeed caught my eyes, due to the fact that Flash is a speedster, when he uses his power, either he goes super fast or everything else in the scene becomes slowed down, so they've got tons of work on every scene to make those flashy lighting and super slow-mo stuff. in the episode of Duet, there's one who call himself "music meister" and love to use his power to put people's mind in to a musical drama world and teach them "a lesson", and there's where the song comes along, and I was just like: "Wowie! those acters can sing!" I've already love the series, so why not the song within it? Plus I love singers with clear voices, so this type of work will definitely...

If you see something that makes you feel sick in your stomach you should say, “Uh that’s minging” and in American English we might say “Uh that’s gross.” 2. To chinwag This means to chat or talk with someone casually. It could be used as a noun or a verb. You might “have a chinwag” with a friend when you go out for a coffee. 3. To be as thick as two short planks This expression can be used to describe someone who is not intelligent or who does something that is stupid or clumsy. 4. To give someone a bell To call someone. In American English we might say, “I’ll give you a ring” or “I’ll give you a call.” 5. hunky-dory fine, no problem. You could say, “My sister and her boyfriend had a huge fight and she was going to move out but they have talked i...

6 Minute English - Can you trust your own eyes?

*here's the link to the episode.* - Funny things that our own mind can play tricks on our self, right? In this episode, they mentioned the memories are a reconstructive process, which reminds me of a book I've been studying recently. It's about Behavioral Neuroscience. they show you how your brain structure and neurons looks like and how do they do their work. And it is true that we don't really store memories, we have the connection that can make the same information happen in our brain again, and that connection are always changing, and that's why we lost some information from time to time and make up some fake memory to fill in the lost part. The scary things is we don't even realize that we've edited our memory at all. Because we're doing that unconsciously, but even though our memories are not always accurate, it's still a acceptable reference source because we can only recall things from our memories, so there's nothing we can do about i...
